Who else needs a hug?

My quilt didn't get accepted into the quilt show at QuiltCon.

I'm sure all the ones that were chosen are beautiful etc, and I know those are probably pretty fantastic quilts, but it's still hard to know that mine wasn't chosen.

I guess all of us who weren't chosen can have our own little pitty party today. That quilt is my best work ever, and I'm still proud of it. It can be enjoyed every day in Mona's sewing room. :)

Does anyone else need a "my quilt wasn't chosen" hug?

  7. I wish I could give you a real life hug. I'm really surprised that your quilt wasn't chosen, but for what it's worth, I really love it and think it's a beautiful blend of modern and traditional elements. :)

  12. {{{{{Hugs}}}}}

    It just means that your capabilities are much more than you've demonstrated in this quilt! Give it another go next year dear, and you'll not just "make it" but "win it!"
    Love and some more hugs...

  13. Clearly your quilt was so beautiful they thought it would show the others up, that's the only explanation I can think of.

  14. I'm amazed at ones I've seen that weren't accepted, including yours! If it makes you feel any better, I pinned your wall hanging to my "Quilt Aspirations" pinterest page (with full credits to you, of course). That's my board where I only put what I feel are extraordinary quilts that will forever be beyond my capabilities and time. I think this is such a cool design and technically intriguing even though I'm not really qualified to judge these things. And ... HUUUUUUG
