Perspective.

As you may know I've been having a rough time trying to conceive my second child. A process that's been 2+ years and counting. It's a struggle for me, but today life gave me a little perspective. One of my best college friends has been diagnosed with cancer.

Cancer.

Granted I haven't been the best at keeping in touch with this friend, but she had been one of my closest friends during my college years.... My issues are nothing in comparison. Why can't we seem to find a cure for this?

  1. I am so sorry about your friend :(

I might say something terrible here, but I'll give it a shot. Have you tried not focusing on the baby no.2 for a while? You know, getting that frustration out of your life for a while? Trying to see the good parts only? It helps me a lot from time to time.

  4. :( So sorry to hear this, not just for your friend, but also for you. My college roommate had a very hard time conceiving and carrying to term, so I know this can be just as heartbreaking as cancer. Hang in there.

  5. Hi Emily, all of life is a struggle isn't it? I always find that I should be more grateful. I truly hope that you will be able to fulfill your heart's desire to have the family that you want. And best of luck to your friend during such a difficult time.
