Late last week I received a message from Samantha from Pattern Crush (funny how both my sponsors are named Samantha!) saying that Windham sent her a couple free charm packs of Heather Ross's Briar Rose to giveaway! So we're giving one away here this week! Yep, you heard me right, that's BEFORE the fabric arrives in stores! So to snag some Briar Rose early leave a comment below.
Here are the rules:
- One comment - tell me something, anything. A funny joke? Your fav way to entertain small children in the summer? Whatever you like.
- One comment - follow me on bloglovn (or any other way: twitter, facebook, instagram, flickr) and leave a comment saying so.
- One comment - follow Pattern Crush (blog, newsletter, instagram, facebook, twitter) and leave a comment saying so.
I'm going to jump in first here! Pretty sure I already do #2 and# 3......so that leaves me with one option. My fun summer kid activity is shaving cream fun. It's so smooshy! Add food colors, play, "paint" in the back yard, rinse liberally. Child does not even know they've been washed: bonus.
ReplyDeleteMy son is young enough that it doesn't take a whole lot to entertain him. We did go to a swim park for the first time last weekend and I see a lot more of that in our future :)

In the summer just toss the kids outside and they'll entertain themselves with their imagination - you just have to play along with the storyline.

I have bought lots of different hats ( kids size ) in a kind of Halloween costume shop. My little nephew uses them every single day in his play. The same. ( bowler ) hat is a " fireman's" hat, Michael Jackson's hat, a pirate hat and of course a police officer's hat! He just loves dressing up with hats and little vests.

ReplyDeleteMy three-year-old granddaughter loves to play "fabric." I give her a big pile of small scraps and she puts them onto my flannel design wall. The objective of the game is to cover the whole wall as high as she can reach.

ReplyDeleteMy toddler is usually entertained by water. Paddling pool, toy boats, a watering can, as long as there is water involved he doesn't care!

ReplyDeleteWhen impatients go to seed a little ribbed pod appears. My grandmother taught me how to gently squeeze the pods when they are ready and they POP open! They will do this by themselves and throw the tiny brown seeds far. I always laugh because volunteer impatiens come up through the bushes by my parents front door from seeds popping out of the flowers in pots. They even will cover the front door with seeds. I can never pass an impatient without popping a pod if it is ready and thinking of my Grandmother.
